Happy winter solstice from the land down under, it's green garden time here not one tomato in sight!
Love your art Penelope. We have some fantastic weavers nearby - the Weavers of Oakbank SA.
Have you heard of the The Eleventh Hour Tapestries. Mary started 3 minutes world silence on 1st January 11am to remember the future and hope for world peace.
I wrote about her tapestries on our blog on the 11th December 2007.
I think that might scare away the "would be gardeners" that John is trying to teach (with no intended insult to John). Having your gardening teacher show up in the buff might be intriguing, but(t) maybe not conducive to learning about when to plant your arugula:)
Lovely colors. I use a lot of purple and blue in weavings too. I also planted purple pansies and petunias. I think what we wear in our gardens and homes matters. We have a tendency to dress up when we go elsewhere, when home is where we can fulfill our dreams and fantasies and need color, texture, form, style to keep us aware of the pleasures and diversity of life.
