Fig Trees

I have a beautiful Fig Tree with leaves just at the top. Will I get figs this year? I transplanted it 2 years ago - thought it was a gonner but it came back beautifully. I just want some of those delicious figs it used to produce. Any suggestions?

I'd talk to the Fig Man - http://landofenfigment.com/index.html
Lloyd is a wonderful person and propagates fig trees adapted to growing in New Mexico. I don't know where you live, but if you have cold winters, you will need to give your trees protections. i just planted 3 fig trees this summer. I hope to get a few late summer figs this year.

Hi Pat,
I live in Southern France. My fig tree has already set fruit for this year. I would have thought it was getting late for fruit this year if there is none visible on the tree now
The RHS gives advice on pruning fig trees, although it's mainly aimed at the UK, the pruning and fruiting information still holds:
