Go to www.dirtdoctor.com for info on kelp. I suggest that you garden/farm without buying anything from anybody except seed. Use no-till in permanent beds. Never leave the soil bare and grow your own organic matter using green manure/cover crops. ...

Michelle, tell me in Spanish, I do not understand your English. I am on a number of listservs and never have seen a nastier, more hateful webmaster than you.

I do not sell anything. I posted to help people with their gardening. Why don't you remove it and why don't you just block my address. I am out of here forever.

I have been on three listservs for years and receive daily postings but this one is different. I rarely recent postings and so I ignore it. I do not understand how it operates. I had a workshop in San Diego last July. I am on www.nabuur.com helping farmers change to organic, no-till in permanent beds using bucket drip irrigation. I would love to see more of the postings on this listserve.

People have started new threads of discussion and abandoned old ones and we're only sent news of the ones we've contributed to.

How does your garden grow? I ate basil thinnings from the plants I'm starting indoors, the first taste of my gardening season.

Dear ken,
Thank you for your posts. If you feel so inclined I would love an outline to some of your workshops. My wife is education coordinator at the local arboretum and between us we have been trying to offer formal and informal kitchen garden workshops for the past 2 years. The more I think about it, the more we need to interweave philosophy into our presentations and at the same time get out of the classroom as much as we can. We are starting an edible gardening club this year and it will be interesting to see how it works.

HOW TO - ADD A LINK

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....

First type the text you want to appear....  ie  IAN'S PAGE

Then go back and highlight the link text.

Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.

Your browser may intervene and request permission to allow temporary scripting or some similar message.   Allow it and go back and highlight the text again

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
