HOW TO - ADD A LINK
Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....
First type the text you want to appear.... ie IAN'S PAGE
Then go back and highlight the link text.
Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.
Your browser may intervene and request permission to allow temporary scripting or some similar message. Allow it and go back and highlight the text again

Thanks for the photo, they look like what we call paprika. The drums you indicated is quite a good idea as we used smaller containers to plant potatoes. What you do is you cover the seed with just enough to make it germinate, thereafter you keep topping up the container to "pull" the plant as much as you can before the leaves start forming. The concept hereof is to increase the length of the tuber bearing section and thereby increase the number of tubers that form. In other words, double or even tripple the yield out of one plant! Smart idea, isnt it?
We also used 44 gallon drums to plant strawberries in. Simply fill the drum with soil and then make as manny holes in the sides as you can. Plant the strawberries and put an end to ants and other ground pests raiding your crop. No maintenance required ! This also allows one to do plenty in small spaces!
Here is a picture of what they look like. They are a sweet pepper, I have heard them called pepperochini peppers and Tuscan Peppers.I read your comment about peppers and wondered what a Bannana Pepper is. We have only red, yellow and green peppers that I have seen.
Care to explain what it is?
