Hi Shari,
I hope I haven't missed you but I just wanted to say have a wonderful trip to New Zealand. I have never been and my health will no doubt now prevent me from going as it's a 27 hour flight from here, but I understand it is a wonderful country. Please take lots of photos to post on here on your return.

Hi Shari,
My part of France is indeed wonderful. I live in the wine growing region of the South West. St Emillion, where the red wine come from is just down the road and the Bordeaux wine region includes our land.
The area is also famous for it's ducks and geese and is a big producer of sunflower. Of course, wine is the main harvest. I have a vinyard at the end of the lane our house is on and another whose land backs onto ours. My favourite vinyard is about 4 miles away - run by Bernard, it's his picture on my photos. Tomorrow is the day to buy our weekly fruiit and vegetables. We shall go to a local "farmer's" market about 10 miles away. We have a nearer market on Sunday morning about 2 miles away but we prefer the other one. As well as fruit and vegetables, the markets sell everything, the local nursery will be there with his flowers, plants, trees and shrubs, a chinese family come every week and sell homemade chinese snacks. There is a chicken farmer who cooks his free range chickens on the pit right there in the market, Fish is brought in from the coast. There is even a guy who sells books in english!! Of course, several of the local vintners will also be there selling their wine. As you may have guessed I just love the markets! I'm expecting about 100 stalls as there are every Saturday morning.
I'm hoping that one day I'll get to visit Colorado. I would very much like to. I come across to the Us every couple of years for a holiday but my wife's sister lives in Maine so we tend to go up there.

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
