Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....
First type the text you want to appear.... ie IAN'S PAGE
Then go back and highlight the link text.
Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.
Your browser may intervene and request permission to allow temporary scripting or some similar message. Allow it and go back and highlight the text again

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.
I would be happy to hear any comments you may have. This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.
I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.

Hi Everyone, I've started to collect together recipes from various posts on the site and put them all together here.
If you have a recipe you want to add on here, just post it on the site and leave a comment on my page telling me where it is and I'll go and fetch it back here.
They are organised in Contributor Order but I'm open to better suggestions!

Recently there was an excellent discussion about composting. I’ve pulled together all the various comments here. You can also watch KGI's video on composting here.

Nice comments on my garden; thanks for that. I`m ashamed to say, due to me having a fulltime job I now find little time to tend my plots and they have been rather neglected since last June. Nothing looks so tidy anymore, and I hate not having the time to spend on it anymore. Just like you, I hate being stuck indoors and will take any opportunity to get out there. My work has made it quite hard to find the time. But, I`m determined to grow something again this season, so I have started off some chilli peppers, tomatoes, aubergines and mixed salad leaves on my bedroom windowsill. Slugs are a pain in the backside here in Britain and they will eat anything in site. So, I lost an awful lot of seedlings last year when I didn`t have the time to patrol my patch. I`m hoping to grow my seedlings on a bit longer this year, to let them mature more before planting out. Weekends are my only spare days now and I can`t wait for the weather to be more favourable, so I can get out there and assemble a new coldframe I bought last summer but never had the time to errect. All my garden plots have been surrounded with recycled materials, and nothing ever cost me much. The square bed in the top of the garden has wooden sides I recycled from an old shed. The flag stones around it were a gift from a neighbour that was disgarding them. All the other materials were already in my garden when I first moved here, and I just re-arranged them to suit me. It`s amazing what a bit of imagination can do, lol.
As you can see, I haven't logged on to the website for some time...I've been busy cooking, manuring the orchard/garden, and now pruning fruit trees etc...
As the time to plant grows nearer, I checked in and foung your offer of companion planting info. I am still interested. You can email me directly at info@gotta-cook.com .
I really would appreciate it.
I love your pictures and how tidy you keep your garden *sigh* I will! never be a tidy gardener!
I have always wanted to learn how to belly dance - you look so lovely in costume! Belly dancing is very sexy to me - did it take you long to learn how to? It is excellent exercise too isn't it?
