When we approach gardening from a sacred place I really believe that we infuse the plants with more sacred energy as we mix our energy with theirs. And then the plants infuse the sacred energy back into us when we work with them and harvest and ea...

Mare, one thing I have learned over the years, is that there are many roads that lead the the place. We may take different paths, but we must respect each other just the same.I know I may come on sorta ''salty'' sometimes, but even if we can't agree, I still respect the opinion.By the way,I am familiar with the Cherokee ways...a little(maybe more than I think) and have been exposed to the so-called ''primative-ways''. I was born here NC over 50 yrs ago.I even experienced the ''sweat lodge rituals''....whoa...feel free to disagree,.. bye.

well I agree with you regarding plants, I think they have a level of consciousness, though I've never noticed a "personality" perse. But maybe I'm just not listening hard enough.

Mare, everyone here at KGI is a teacher... and a student... and a protector of the sacred. I joined last fall, and others taught me, so I'm glad to follow the tradition. This is a great place to be if you love gardening a lot, or even a little bit.

Good morning Mare. You may want to "edit" your Sacred Gardening discussion to announce that the Sacred Gardening group is now available. That will encourage people to go on over to the group and leave their comments there.
I advise this because a few weeks ago I started a discussion query about an having an orchard group. I edited the discussion to let folks know about the group having been formed. That left the discussion out there to infrom people of the group, which they went to, but essentially closed the discussion.
I'm looking forward to participating in the Sacred Gardening Group.

HOW TO - ADD A LINK

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....

First type the text you want to appear....  ie  IAN'S PAGE

Then go back and highlight the link text.

Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.

Your browser may intervene and request permission to allow temporary scripting or some similar message.   Allow it and go back and highlight the text again

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
