Thank you... I loved the "book". I have house guests and thus not much time to write this AM... but I did want to comment on the elderberries. There must be people here on this site that have good recipes and ideas of what you could be doing with them.

I am a farm girl, so have been dabbling my fingers in the dirt for a very long time!! :) If you look at my page, you will see I have 3 photo files uploaded. and I actually only joined this site back in August, so missed taking photos of my best looking garden!! I really LOVE fresh food... and the people here are wonderful!
Thanks for the friend reply!

Hi Linda,
Welcome!! I spent time in your state in over 30 years ago! I passed through Chanute AFB in Rantoul. Pretty flat there!! I'll never forget flying in and looking down at all the corn and wheat fields! I never got lost, as the roads there were also so straight!
Sorry, I don't have much time this AM to chat. I have a house full of guests. I did send a friend request it you'd like to join me. We have a wonderful time on this site and share recipes and gardening tips, and I'm sure you will see it is a great community.
:)

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....

First type the text you want to appear....  ie  IAN'S PAGE

Then go back and highlight the link text.

Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.

Your browser may intervene and request permission to allow temporary scripting or some similar message.   Allow it and go back and highlight the text again

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
