We live in central Maine and have 8 varieties of grapes. Most of them came from Fedco, right here in Maine. King of the North is the one that does the best. It grows like crazy. Mars has also done well. Some of the others are just getting started....

Well...parnell is really the garden wiz. I'm pretty good at weeding, harvesting and cooking...we make a good team. Our tomatoes were pretty sad too, but basil was OUT OF CONTROL! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough tomatoes to go with the basil!!

This year marks the first year in over seven years (since the birth of my oldest daughter) that I've had the time free, and hands free, long enough to REALLY spend time out in the garden. I don't eat turnip greens but some people use them in a mixture of other leaves i;e.mustard, fenugeri ,spinach and turnip greens.These leaves are collected when very young, the variety is also different.
