the coolness of the weather has kept me from keeping up with weeding, and my sucession planting of greens. It just doesn't seem to feel like gardening weather! *sigh* but the lawn loves it! the rain and cool weather has it growing like crazy!
I hope your plants enjoy the new warmer home!

- Thanks Joan,
Mine just has the residual heat from the boiling water you put in at the beginning. They recomend you only leave it for 4 hours. I might try topping it up after four hours with some more hot water so that it can continue on for longer. Yours sounds like a good system keeping it at a constant temperature.

- thanks Joan, I heard that if you left it for longer than four hours you would get separation - maybe I should try it for 8 hours and see what happens. I have used milk - but always go with skim - maybe I should try it with maybe 2% and see if the consistency is better.

I love the look of your mango drink you posted - will have to try it as soon as mangoes are in season again (another couple of months). I noticed you said you make your own yoghurt, I make mine using skim milk powder and a couple of tablespoons of good yoghurt. Then the container goes into a thermos for about 4 hours. I find though that it sometimes has quite a slimy, runny texture and separates easily - do you have any advice on how to correct that? Last time I used double the amount of milk powder and it did seem to have a thicker texture.

Creating a picture perfect herb garden
Every year I try to create a different theme in the garden. One year it was displaying and using pottery, another time it was using branches from our Birch trees to make a trelis, this year the theme is picture frames.
I collected old picture frames from friends and yard sales and use them as structures in the garden. A very big frame was used as a herb garden. Using skids from a construction site ( I'm big on diversion), we cut them up and created a back to have enoug… Continue

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....
First type the text you want to appear.... ie IAN'S PAGE
Then go back and highlight the link text.
