I think a Michigan gathering is a great idea, especially since not many of us can make it to France for the international gathering this year.

Glad to hear you are doing ok, I was a bit concerned! How did your corn do last year? someone in container gardening wants to grow corn in a container, and I thought you might have some advice.

Hi Ilex

Things have really changed over the past 3 months. I dropped in on my sister in Port Elizabeth and came home with 4 parrots and a box of mealworms.

These mealworms are indicated to be the latest thing in that you get to interact with their breeding cycle as well as feeding them to fish and birds.
I naturally took interest in the fish part as we just can not find earthworms for bait. My nephew on Face Book indicated that they caught a catfish on bread because they had no worms to use. This will give you an idea of how dry it has become - not drought conditions but very dry anyway.
I certainly enjoy my worm farming and they share my Bedroom with me - beat that!

Loved your blog rant. You've definitely got the creeps pegged! I'm so sorry about your job. Mine is in jeopardy too within a year since I'm pretty low on the totem pole. Top priority is keeping our gardens. Humans are like plants too; we need to stay put a reasonable amount of time every year in order to prosper.

HOW TO - ADD A LINK

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....

First type the text you want to appear....  ie  IAN'S PAGE

Then go back and highlight the link text.

Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
