Definitely a Lemon Cucumber! These are so delicious. I juice these and they are so refreshing. I've been growing these since 1970.....yikes! I'm aging myself ;-).

I don't know what it is it starts out looking like a little watermelon green with stripes then turns into the smooth round yellow. It does resemble the lemon cuke and the peach vine ...But it seems the foliage is different. I want to eat them but ...

Hi Heaher,
I'm sorry you won't be here, it would be nice to meet you. Maybe on your next trip to Europe you'll make it here.
I have loved living in France although it is not without it's problems...mainly financial... All my income is from the United Kingdom and therefore in £sterling and with the euro currently so strong I now get a lot less euros for my £. It has been the equivalent of about a 30% salary cut.
However, I now live in a beautiful community just outside a 12th century village with lots of good friends. The village is amazing with lots of buildings still intact from that time If you read my blog, A kitchen Garden in France you will learn a little about them. They have made me very welcome.
Paris is not like the rest of France.. I guess New York is not like rural US either....Here I have friends from Kansas who are made very welcome by the locals.
If you decide to move to Europe and think I can be any help at all, don't hesitate to ask. I'll happily offer what guidance I can.

I can't remember whether you said you were going to make the global meet up in France in September and I'm now starting to pull the event together. Maybe you could let me know
Thanks

The rains really did hurt. I lost all my squash and my tomatoes just are not the same. I tis like they quit producing. I have had a bumper crop of cukes though.

Are you having problems with snakes this year? I have so many black or king snakes. I found two living inside my sprinkler system underground control box this morning and have one living under my back deck.

I know they are harmless but i don't like having them around me. I always see a few but never like this spring.

Oh I would love to see photos of your rose garden in full bloom. What do you grow primarily hybrid teas? I am in love with David Austin English and am growing several varieties.

We are practically neighbors. I live in Jax and have two acres also. But I left one completely wooded. I have always wanted to do wildflowers on top of my drainfield. You message reminded me I really need to look into that.

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
