That is so true. Of all the things everyone carries around with them in life it is the hurts and the blessings we remember the most. I try to not hurt anyone intentionally and if I do accidentally I say sorry and I also try and be a blessing.

Take this seriously!

I have been away awhile. My husband just got out the hospital a couple days ago and I am behind.
He had surgery for a colon tumor...will be having ongoing chemo treatment soon.
EVERYONE~~have your colonoscopy done. It is a breeze apart from the large volume of liquid you have to drink. It may save your life and much sorrow for your loved ones!
See my husband's message on AmemricanChronicle.com on this!

Hello Barbara, and a belated Happy New year to you. Yes, we have had weeks of very cold weather and lots of snow. It started the week before and lasted for most of January. This is a small village on top of a hill, about 1000' feet up in the Peak District, so transport was difficult. At times we were cut off and that even made national TV. Many roads were blocked by snow drifts and even last week there were still some around 5-6' with the road cut through after the thaw. It has been much milder for a few days but the forecast is for more cold weather and more snow. All this means that the garden is left untouched and is behind schedule. I always use a long dormancy garlic which should go in about now. Looks like it will be late.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Unfortunately, they were unable to remove his tumor~~he had some new small lesions. He will resume chemo next week. He is doing well right now. We are hoping the chemo will keep it under control. There are no guarantees!

Sorry Barbara that your hsuband has had to undergo more surgery. I pray that God will give you strength to be the support he needs, and that this time all of the cancer will have been removed, and he has a strong and speedy recovery. regards, Gillian

I tried to add a reply to two posts and got an "error on page" note !! But then it asked me to sign in again !! Would that be the reason my posts did not work ?? Sign in was negated ?? Or is it common to have to do this occassionally ??

Wow Sandra! You've asked for an awful lot of information! Start by checking for your "predicted" last frost date. There are frost charts online, but the quickest way for you, I think, is to call your county extension agent. He'll be listed in the ph…

Yes it's hot but very humid which is unusual. We are having a spell of days in the low 30s but tropical air is being pushed south by the weather systems up north and we are getting rain and humidity. The rain we love - the humidity we are not used t…
