I was turning over some soil in my garden this morning and ANTS! EVERYWHERE! I don't want a nest in my veggies, I'm not going to use chemicals around my food, so I don't know what to do to get rid of them. Any ideas?

I thought it might be good to have a group that discusses our pest problems so that anyone can find it if they need it.

Anoush,

I am glad you enjoyed my waterfall photos. I would have to agree that the NC Mountains are beautiful and time of the year. I have spent many days in the backwoods of the NC mountains and have not been let down yet. I wish you and you garden well and thank you for the kind words about my business....................Chris

We got a couple inches. All gone now. I *think* we have them protected....guess we'll see. LOL We have a part of the barn that Peter is renovating as a chicken coop. Hope to let them roam within reason. Building a aviary for just-in-case. Also running a hot wire around the lower edge in case someone wants to dig under to have a checken snack. Ann
