But even than if u want to use it u can use it on the trunk ,or after prunning on the wounds. It is made by mixing 100 mg of copper sulphate and same weight of hydrated lime mix it in 5 litres of water and apply with a brush. You can reduse the amount of lime to half .The results would be great as it is best to control fungus.

Yes! i used bordeaux mixture on my Mangoe tree and on grape wines .It proved good on mangoe as lime and copper sulphate also prevented the passers by to touch . But in my opinion it is dangerous if you have children and pets around.

Yes Tamara! I agree with your opinion. Weather remains hot untill late winter;but luckily i managed to grow tulips even.I should shift its place to a cooler area where i grow my tulips.

@ amna mufti
sorry no info on persimmon but WOW on all those trees, lucky you.
You must have a big place in Pakpattan.
Tamra Comment by Tamra on September 2, 2009 at 2:45pm
Given all the tropical fruits you grow, I wonder if it gets cold enough there for the persimmon. It needs a chilling period of some dormancy days. Just like tulips or some other tree fruits, the number of days cold temp is important.

My other guesses would be, is there a pollinator near by, and is the tree old enough.

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
