Someone please help me! I don't know what is wrong with my peppers. I bought these peppers from my local farmer's market a few weeks ago. I didn't plant them immediately because we were going out of town for a few days. Instead, I left them inside on a windowsill so that they wouldn't get too dry (if I'd left them outside they would have dried up). Anyway, I thought maybe keeping them inside is what made them wilt and lose their leaves, but now I'm not sure. The small pepper plant lost all it's leaves and is completely drying up, and not for lack of water.

The bell pepper has just stopped growing, and has funny dots on it's leaves. I've attached pictures. Please help me! I had hoped these would last a while in a cold frame once fall started!

Yeah, Aphids were on the small new shoots, I have rubbed them off and used an organic natural spray that supposedly keeps the green fly horde at bay... I guess I will find out soon. I thought that rhubarb leaves were poisonous to bugs ???

Ants? look closely and see if you have aphids. That could be what's going on. Ants harvest the sweet stuff from Aphids. Aphids will munch your plant.

That pot is pretty big. I now have leaves on the rhubarb that have red blotches on them!!! I seem to have a load of ants on the plant too, could they be causing damage?

The rest of the plant is doing awesomly! My g/f's dad has a rhubarb plant thats about 5 years old and he was shocked to see the size of mine that is less than 3 months old!

Planted in march from a crown with no real above ground growth, this photo was taken last week!

Snowshiva, I just started growing rhubarb this year myself, so I have no idea. I'll be interested in responses to this as well.

Don't know if I should be worried or not, my Rhubarb has massive healthy looking leaves but I have found 2 that looked weeded in comparison. I removed them but thought I would ask on here to see if I have any nasty problem rearing its head.
Here is a pic.

I hope its nothing but you never know, so I thought better safe than sorry.

hi everyone,
I posted a reply over the weekend but it got lost somewhere. Thanks for all your advice, it does put my mind at ease a little that I dont have some horrific disease. also makes me feel good because all my neighbours said they have NEVER been able to grow tomatoes. I do like a challenge......
I checked the PH and it is up at 7 so maybe those epson salts will help - is that what you meant Michelle? I know I have been putting epson salts on my gardenia and it is doing much better because of it. Funny everyone has always said that we have such acid soil, and everyone keeps adding lime, but without testing the soil first!.
Anyway at the library this afternoon they are starting up a gardening group and I am SO looking forward to meeting some fellow gardeners from this area. Local knowledge is always invaluable.
