Kitchen Gardeners

For any and all interested... My Cherokee teacher and I have started a blog on how to create and work with a Medicine Garden. The blog address is: marecromwell.wordpress.com

Also, for those interested, I lead Sacred Gardening workshops on how to infuse Earth Mother energy into your gardens and life in general... for more info on that, www.sacreddogllc.com.

But it would be really fun to create a Sacred Gardening group here on KGI, for those interested.. Anyone interested though? It could be a forum for all regardless of your faith or belief system...Surely most of us garden to connect with the earth and it's a healing process for our spirits regardless...

love to hear your thoughts,
mare

Yeah.. I feel for teenagers and twenty-year olds of today.. and how hard it must be for them to find hope in the face of all the dire news and forecasts of global trends.. sigh.
Luke 19: 39-40
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"
"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

Indeed, Christ was an amazingly awake person, or rather a very enlightened soul who came into the physical to teach us.. And there is so much need for His teachings of compassion and healing and living in our higher selves now in these 'interesting' times...
thanks for the good quote, Michelle

Thank you for this great idea! This is my own gardening priority also. Cooperating with naturally occurring elements has been shown to foster vigor, food value & medicinal virtue in plants. So I'm forward an announcement of a FREE conference call tomorrow on methods of cooperating with naturally occurring materials that enhance plant growth.

Quoting fellow Kitchen Gardener Barry Carter: "Since 1990 dozens of "new" essential plant and animal nutrients have been discovered. We call these nutrients the ORMUS minerals. When applied to soils they typically improve plant growth, taste and nutrient content by 40% to 60% in the first season. They also increase drought tolerance and freeze tolerance for many plants."

Sea-Crop is an extensively tested commercially available ORMUS product. Independently reported field trials are posted at
www.subtleenergies.com/ormus/tw/Sea-CropTests2007.htm
www.subtleenergies.com/ormus/tw/Sea-CropTests2008.htm

SeaCrop Originator & Developer Art Zeigler will be speaking tomorrow May 2nd as guest on a FREE conference call, as follows:
******************************************************************
Calling All Gardeners.
Seacrop Developer Arthur Ziegler
aka Agricultural Ormus Maker
3pm this Saturday 2nd of May
FREE at +1-712-432-3900 CODE 4737082

For YEARS now the Live Alchemy teleconference has wanted to host the Maestro of Agricultural Ormus, Arthur Zeigler, as a guest on our Live Alchemy 'show'. For years Arthur was not ready .. or too busy.

Arthur Zeigler is one of the "Senior Citizens" of the emerging Ormus movement. MANY of the photos of crops, fruits, nuts and trees grown with Ormus assistance have come from Arthur. In other words, Arthur is the MAN behind most of the plant and animal improvement documentation.

Arthur Zeigler s a RICH STORE of Ormus history, knowledge and information. His research confirmed that BIO LIFE .. the microscopic micro-life in the ocean actually contributed to MORE Ormus Precipitate being 'harvested' than from the supposedly 'better' deeper ocean water that has less Bio Life.

Well, that was the tip of the iceburg. On Saturday, you will hear SO MUCH Ormus information.. Ormus ideas, Ormus history. Arthur used to know and visit "The Essene" and knows all the who's who in the early Ormus world.

This alert is a tad late. Sorry for that. If you are interested in making or using Ormus, then THIS is the call to be on! Arthur and the "Wet Method" are old friends!

MORE information available at
www.subtleenergies.com/ormus/index.htm

With best wishes,
mgw

how fascinating.. ! hmmm...

makes me wonder about the role that earthworms play in the soil and the micronutrients and subtle energy shifts that occur when there is a health population of worms.. indeed.

thx for sharing this..
ps. the Sacred Gardening Group is up and maybe we can have some good discussions over there too. or here or anywhere... ;~)

I'm with you! I've been involved with Earth Spirituality for years, both Neo-Pagan and Native traditional aspects, but mainly and primarily I have a Gaian point of view in terms of spirituality. (The earth is a living and conscious entity - and I think that is true of the universe as well, and we are part of her living body, so treating her with respect is essential to a good and purposeful life.) Please add me to this group, or rather, include me when you issue a notice that it's formed. I have been practicing this kind of spirituality for YEARS....

Happy Beltane, btw... :)

Hi Joy,
How cool... you are very connected to the Earth, for sure...

The Sacred Gardening Group was formed on Thurs pm.... come on over. Though the discussion is livelier here under this discussion posting... how funny. ;~)

I think I'm going to post some questions over on the group page and see if we can get some dialogue there though.

for the Earth and the healing,
m
ps. honored to be your 'friend' here too.. ;~)

Mare,
Please add me to your list of interested members for a Sacred Gardening group. I am particularly interested in stories and lore from diverse traditions surrounding plants—such as the origins of the three sisters garden to Achilles giving yarrow (achillea) to his troops to staunch their wounds. I’m the librarian in our tiny, remote town, and I collect these bits of knowledge and lore to learn for myself and to share with the children during story time…and anyone else who has the patience to sit and listen to me talk.
This year at the library, we will be starting a container garden with the children as part of our summer library program. In time, I hope to convince the library board to allow me to convert the library’s back lawn, complete with sprinklers and its own keeper, to a raised bed community garden. It would actually save the library money. I would call the project, “Food for Thought.”
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge.

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
