Event Description

The first of the new global events for KGI will start with a vist to a local market where we can select produce and talk to the growers - (If your French is up to it!) I'm hoping to have a true French meal for lunch that will take most of the afternoon and go into the evening with lots of chat. Sunday, we'll visit a second market and then, after lunch visit some local (neighbours) gardens to see French "Potagers" at work. I'm hoping to have several French/English speakers in attendance to help if you don't speak French.

We have started a blog so that you can all keep up with developments as they happen. Take a look at A French Kitchen Garden Weekend

And sounds like a couple of our (ex pat Anglais) friends are interested in coming too, if that will be ok. If anyone else coming to the event wants to stay near the Loire Valley afterwards to see the chateaux, we have a little gite available: see www.mousseaux.co.cc and you'd be very welcome, at reduced rates!

Helas! Miracles sometimes happen and I will certainly pray for one that will get me to this event but at the moment I'm afraid I must decline this wonderful invitation. Thanks so much, et Bonne Chance.

HI, Ian. There's certainly a chance we might come, Allen and I. We'll be ready for another visit to family in Cuhe by then.
Have you thought about accommodations? Can people camp on your property? Are there gites or B&B's nearby? Looking forward to it.

Ian -- sounds like so much fun! Any other time I would have definitely come, but I'm due to birth a baby on or around September 17th -- so I might be a little busy then. Next time!

Woo-Hoo...is this exciting!
I wish I could say yes right now and know that I could make it happen.

But sadly it is something I can't know for sure just yet.
Will have to do some research on different aspects of the thought.

I'll update you at a later time.

Thanks so much for the invitation Ian...sounds marvelous!

Happy week~

Several people have experienced difficulty putting working links into comments and blogs etc and I know it is clumsy.... so here is how you do it.....

First type the text you want to appear....  ie  IAN'S PAGE

Then go back and highlight the link text.

Then hit the hyperlink button...a pictogram of a chain link.

Your browser may intervene and request permission to allow temporary scripting or some similar message.   Allow it and go back and highlight the text again

Forum Policy

Hi, I'm starting to put together a few guidlines on using the discussion forum on here.

I would be happy to hear any comments you may have.  This is very much a work in progress so plese feel free to ask me to add anything you think is needed.

I don't want to make our community hide bound by rules and regulations but I think that, as the community has grown, some explanation of what is expected is needed.
